What is her favourite color?

Azure, navy blue, aquamarine?

A mix of so many shades of turquoise, green and blue.

Like a woman, she appears to be moody

One minute calm and nurturing;

At other times, showing signs of aggression or utter rage.

On a stormy day, she dances in a rage,

Her silky skirts billowing 10 feet or more into the air.

“Get away from me”, she yells

but still some brave soul will get up in her face

upon a surf board, no less

and dare to tempt her

bravely performing the dance of death.

In the sunlight,

Her surface sparkles like millions of tiny diamonds…..

Only the best for Mother Sea

See how she loves those frilly white petticoats

Her sense of fashion is so classic and timeless.

She spreads her arms of love to infinity

Embracing all of nature’s children

Within her womb to preserve them for generations to come.

What beautiful imagery! I love the sea too, and was very antsy while living in a land-locked city for many years. There's nothing like an ocean (that's partly why I loved Vancouver) but a huge lake (which is what we have up here in Ontario) is almost as good!

I love the sea. I love to be near the sea or any body of water. Although I don't swim, I am a water babe. The sound of water is so relaxing, especially the sea....waves dashing against the shore. The salty tangy smell of the ocean is also so refreshing. Water always calms my spirit, and having access to the sea, lake pond, or any body of water is vital to me. In New York, even a fountain works for me, when I really need to feel that sense of calm. A lot of my photography is about water...now that I think about it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was just sitting by the beach and the thoughts came to mind.

Thanks Nell....I do feel extremely blessed to be able to enjoy beautiful beaches at my leisure. Glad you enjoyed it. I did have a short video of the waves crashing to shore but could not find it to upload it.

I can actually envision standing just on the fringe of this majestic source as she goes from rage to peace and serenity. You paint a lovely picture. In the first photo, is it Pigeon Point, Tobago?
